Most parents want a childhood for their children where they are free to roam, to take risks and to have unsupervised, unstructured play. Some parents build giant playgrounds in their backyards. Some create communities of like-minded parents to celebrate unplugged values. Others grow a little more comfortable day-by-day with open-ended play and risk-taking in very natural ways.
